Thank you for your interest in Sierra Chef Cooking Classes, Farmers Markets and Special Events.  Below you will find our Spring / Summer 2018 scheduled Cooking Classes, Farmers Markets and Special Events.  The majority of our Cooking Classes are on Sundays. 

You are welcome to schedule a private class for you, your children, your family or a group of your friends at any time…we are open 7 days a week!  We will be adding classes and events and will be sure to inform you of those.  You can also “like” our Facebook page for updates.

Sunday, March 4th - SOLD OUT
Guest Chef – Allan Hopper, “Grinding your own flour and making banana bread"

1pm to 3pm…$65 per person
Alameda County First Place Winner, Allan Hopper, will be at Sierra Chef to

show his techniques in grinding fresh flour with his Grainmaster flour grinder. 

We will then learn the secrets for his award winning bread with fresh flour as it c

ompares to store bought flour.  Banana breads using both flour types will be made.

Learn to make a lovely Tuscan meal featuring Panzanella Salad, Chicken Marsala & Cannelloni.

Get ready to make the switch from hearty winter soups to light, refreshing Spring Soups!  You will create a fresh Primavera (first green) soup with the freshest vegetables of the season starting with Spring Green Vegetable Soup, Spring Minestrone with Chicken Meatballs, and Cream of Cashew Pea Soup.

Making an Individual Beef Wellington…1pm to 3pm…$75.00 per person
Nothing is more impressive that plating up individual Beef Wellington’s

for your guests.  Puff pastry surrounds Duxcelle and a perfectly cooked filet. 

We will also create a vegetarian version of this traditional dish using a

Portobello Mushroom to replace the filet.


Thursday, March 29th
Barn Dinner Club at East Fork Ranch…6pm to 9pm…$75.00 per person
Sommelier, Jill Dimock, will be sampling Willamette Valley 2016 Pinot Gris and 2016 Whole Cluster Pinot Noir as well as a Tualatin Estate 2016 Semi-sparkling Muscat Frizzante.  Sierra Chef starts the evening with Antipasto Skewers and fresh Parmesan Twists with Spicy Marinara.  Bella Vita Bistro will then serve up a traditional family style dinner of Sliced Bread served with Garlic Parmesan Herb Butter, Burrata Salad served with tomatoes & basil, Manicotti (Sausage, Ricotta & Spinach), Aglio Olio (Cappelinni tossed with Garlicky Italian Shrimp), Parmesan & Fresh Asparagus Risotto,  Chicken Picatta with crispy capers.

Kid’s Annual EGGstravaganza!...9am – 11am or 1pm – 3pm…$45.00 per person
Our annual Kid’s EGGstravaganza day with 2 class times for your convenience.  Kids will not only color and decorate at least a dozen eggs each but also create make Rabbit Racers, and toasted coconut birds’ nests. As always, we will have a snack and drink, a basket for each child to fill with their creations to take home and a couple of little surprises.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL ATTENDEES OF SIERRA CHEF CLASSES (CHILDREN AND ADULTS) MUST SIGN A LIABILITY AND RELEASE FORM PRIOR TO ATTENDING ANY SIERRA CHEF CLASS OR EVENT.  

Class cancellation policy:  All classes are paid in full when they are booked.  No reservation will be held without payment in full. If you are unable to attend a class for which you have made a commitment and you inform us of this situation via  email sent to Events@SierraChef.com  24 hours prior to the class start time you will received an in-house credit for a future class, otherwise payment will be forfeited.

Please remember that Sierra Chef is not a babysitting service.  Our children's classes are designed to educate, entertain and engage children and 
we hope that you agree. Should a child consistently disrupt class you will be called to collect your child with no refund.
