Description:   Making fresh cheese is not as hard as you might think.  You will make Fresh Farmers Cheese also known as Gournay cheese.  Learn which fresh herbs and spices will enhance the flavor and texture.

Description:   If you are a coffee aficionado then this in-depth Class is for you! Christian Waskiewicz, Coffee Master and the man behind the highly acclaimed Alpen Sierra Coffee brand, will be at the Sierra Chef Cucina Campagna to share his coffee wisdom.  Christian will delve into various brewing methods such as Pour-Over Cone, Vacuum (Siphon) Pot, French Press & Flat Bottom Brewer.  These proper brewing methods will then transform 6 Alpen Sierra to perfection, and we will pair with some surprises.

1. Fair Trade & Organic Certified Congo Nguvu. Light roast single origin. Washed processed. Tasting notes: Cherry, chocolate, lemon, honey.
2. Fair Trade & Organic Certified Colombia Nariño. Medium roast single origin. Washed processed. Tasting notes: Sweet coconut & citrus fragrance, tart chocolate sweetness, smooth and long-lingering finish.
3. Costa Rica La Minita Estate Tarrazu. Full-City roast single origin. Washed processed, hand sorted. Tasting notes: Spicy-sweet aroma with notes of orange citrus, vanilla, and chocolate.
4. Sumatra Suku Batak. Dark Roast single origin. “Giling Basah” Semi-Washed “wet hulled” processed. Tasting notes: Fresh earth, leather, cedar, big body, mellow acidity.
5. Organic Alpenglow Blend. Multi-roast signature house blend. Washed and semi-washed processed coffees. Tasting notes: Spicy-sweet, complex, and rich. Round body and lingering aftertaste.
6. Toad’s Blend. Full-dark roast blend. Washed, semi washed and natural processed coffees. Tasting notes: Syrupy-rich, intense, smoky.

Cost:  Community Gathering Event, No Cost…RSVP REQUIRED, SPACE IS LIMITED
Description:   Sierra Chef Cookbook Club is a Community Event to bring women together, share recipes and enjoy the Sisterhood of the Cucina!  Each month Cynthia will send out 3 recipes – beginner, intermediate and expert – chosen from one of her favorite cookbooks.  Each attendee needs to commit to making one of the recipes for the Sunday Potluck.  You can follow the recipe verbatim or feel free to put your own culinary spin on it.  We will also have a special guest each month.  This month we are honored to welcome the legendary Chef Charlie Abowd.  Our recipe selection this month will, of course, be from Charlie’s cookbook, Recipes and Rambles.

Description:  An intimate evening, 10 course, Chef’s Choice tasting menu featuring a selection of fine Foley Family Wines from Sonoma, California.

Description:  It’s time to kick up those tastebuds and experience the multifaceted world of Pesto.  5 of our favorites will be created from start to finish.  Genovese (traditional), Roast Red Pepper, Pepita & Cilantro, Pesto Rosso, & Pesto Verde.

Sunday, January 21 – Tempting Tiramisu Trio

Description:  Traditional Tiramisu is an Italian dessert made with ladyfingers, mascarpone, and espresso, from the Italian word tirami su !, meaning pull me up.  This class will expand your definition of Tiramisu as we also create a fresh, light Raspberry and Lemon Delight…Mangia Bene!
