Making Fresh Farm Cheese

Description: Making fresh cheese is not as hard as you might think. You will make Fresh Farmers Cheese also known as Gournay Cheese. From this Base cheese you will then choose the flavor path of Sweet or Savory.

Description: It’s time to kick up those tastebuds and experience the multifaceted world of Pesto!!! 5 of our favorites will be crafted from start to finish. Genovese (Traditional), Roast Red Pepper, Pepita & Cilantro, Pesto Rosso, & Pesto Verde.

Sierra Chef Cookbook Club

Description: Enjoy the Culinary Companionship with the Ladies of the Carson Valley and Beyond! Each month we take 3 – 5 recipes, send them to our Club Members and get together for a potluck to chat about the recipes…and quite a few other things! Description: One of our most popular classes! You will learn to make Semonlina Pasta Dough from scratch and then we will create several filled pastas including a Traditional 4 Cheese Ravioli, Mezzaluna with Sausage and Tortelloni with Sun Dried Tomato.

Description: Chris & Christina Millard, owners and the driving force of Lost Sierra Wine Co., will be here to share their handcrafted wines of the Feather River. We look forward to creating the perfect pairings to these very approachable wines.

Description: Let’s get saucy with the Italian Flag…Green, White and Red! We will Make a traditional Basil Pine Nut Pesto, Cynthia’s Alfredo Sauce and a Fresh Tomato Marinara.

All classes & events are paid in full when they are booked and are non-refundable…no exceptions. All Gift Certificates are non-refundable and have no cash value.
Kids Classes are for children ONLY. If you wish to have a class with your child(ren) or grandchild(ren) please consider booking a PRIVATE Class.
No reservation will be held without payment in full. If you are unable to attend a class for which you have made a commitment, we suggest that you find someone who can enjoy the class or event and attend in your place.
If you are unable to attend, we require that you inform us of this situation via email sent to Events@SierraChef.com. No classes may be cancelled via phone, everything must be done in writing.
We have a limited number of spaces in classes, both private and scheduled. When you make the commitment to attend the class Sierra Chef schedules staff, purchases product, reserves that space and time for you and we expect you to respect our policy.
Class attendees will be required to sign a liability release form prior to the start of class.
Please remember that Sierra Chef is not a babysitting service. Our children's classes are designed to educate, entertain and engage children and we hope that you agree. Should a child consistently disrupt class you will be called to collect your child with no refund.
Our current Class Schedule for January & February 2026 is shown below. You may also schedule a private class for a group or even just 1 person. If you would like to book a class, event or dinner please give us a call at 775.392.4417 to make your reservation. Please review and understand the cancellation policy on the bottom right of the page before you make any reservation or commit to a class or event.
